Family Fun Night Banner

Friends, Family, Candy

We are excited to announce that New City Church is hosting a community, evangelistic event that is an alternative to Halloween - FAMILY FUN NIGHT!

It's a new look, a new avenue and your participation will add to its success. Whether you want to come and participate in this event with your child to collect candy or sign-up for the decked-out-vehicle contest, you're sure to have fun.

The candy collecting fun starts at 6pm and goes until 8pm. If you're registering your decked-out-vehicle, you'll be arriving between 3-5:30pm to find your assigned parking space and make final preparations.

Decked-Out-Vehicle Contest

The first 31 cars, trucks or vans that sign-up and are accepted for this contest will compete for the win of 1st, 2nd or 3rd Place.

Registration closes on Sunday, October 28, 2018. To participate, read the details that follow and sign-up using the link at the end of this section. Vehicle owners do not need to come in costume (although strongly encouraged); however, ALL vehicles MUST be decorated. Also, small games for the kids to play at your vehicle is encouraged. Please arrive with your "decked-out-trunk, tailgate or hatchback" between 3-5:30pm on October 31st in order to find your assigned parking space. First, Second, and Third Place awards will be awarded. Judges will remain anonymous.

Attendees will spend the evening going from vehicle to vehicle, collecting candy from vehicle owners who have decorated their vehicles to serve as the main event for this alternative, family-friendly event.

Because this event is a family alternative to Halloween, we ask participants to NOT decorate their vehicles with any scary or offensive materials such as spiders, jack-o-lanterns, weapons, demonic, bloody, skeletons, bats, witches, monsters, occult symbols, zombies, etc. No gore! Please keep costumes and decorations kid-friendly. If you have any questions about whether or not your decorations are appropriate, call the church offices to clarify. Those not holding strictly to above mentioned guidelines may be declined the opportunity to participate.

Other suggested themes: Disney, Pixar, or other kid friendly movies, Circus (no clowns), Western, Space, Race Car, Decade theme: 50's, 60's 70's, Bible characters, Sports and Teams, Camping, Zoo or Barnyard, Superheroes, Food.
