FUNERAL SERVICES
Scheduling a funeral service at New City Church will be determined by the church calendar. The family will be notified as soon as possible if the sanctuary is unavailable on the requested date or if the pastor’s schedule cannot accommodate that time.
FUNERAL SERVICE TIME FRAMES
Funeral services are offered Sunday through Thursday only.
NEW CITY CHURCH OFFERS TWO TYPES OF FUNERAL SERVICES:
A Funeral Service – This service is defined by the presence of the body. The family may choose to have an open or closed casket service. A graveside service typically follows the funeral; however, in most cases, another officiant—outside of New City Church—should be arranged to lead the graveside ceremony.
A Memorial Service – This service follows cremation, which is the disposition of the body. Families may choose to have the ashes displayed in an urn, or not at all. The memorial service may take place a few days after cremation or at a later date, at the family’s discretion.

Once the following form is submitted, a New City Church staff member will contact you to schedule an appointment with the family. During this meeting, all details of the service will be discussed, including the date and time.
At New City Church, we strive to honor your wishes and serve your family with care and compassion. While not every request may be possible, our commitment is to walk with you through this time of loss with understanding and grace.

- Sundays: Services may be scheduled for Sunday afternoons (after church services).
- Wednesdays: When Life Night is in session, funerals must conclude by 2:00 p.m.
- Fridays and Saturdays: No funeral services are provided.
